Description:
This lesson discusses the security officer's awareness regarding substance abuse in the workplace and provides information about various controlled substances and the behaviors resulting from their use and/or abuse. The risks these behaviors pose for employees and employers, and the methods available to prevent or confront these risks are also examined.
Objectives:
RECALL the impact of substance abuse on businesses and individuals.
IDENTIFY effective responses to substance abuse in the workplace.
IDENTIFY signs and symptoms related to various controlled substances.
A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
